Christmas at Chatsworth: The Nutcracker

0 comments / lifestyle

Every year, Chatsworth House in Derbyshire puts on a themed Christmas exhibition and decorates the house and gardens for thousands of visitors to see. This years theme was 'The Nutcracker', so my family and I made our first ever visit to the beautiful house to see this years ballet themed exhibition.

I must say that Chatsworth did not disappoint, we were blown away by the stunning decor, attention to detail and overall experience. It was a wonderful day out for the whole family; grabbing a hot chocolate and a few lovely baubles for the tree topped off a lovely day and really put me in the Christmas spirit.

Please be aware that this is a very photo heavy post as I simply couldn't help snapping photos of pretty much everything on display.

I hope you have enjoyed taking a brief look at some of the stunning rooms at Chatsworth; bear in mind that the photos simply could not do justice to the magical exhibition, so I would certainly encourage a visit to take a look for yourself.

Thanks for reading and Merry Christmas!

Do you fancy yourself as a total wipeout champion?

0 comments / lifestyle

If you've ever watched someone on the TV taking on an extreme over water obstacle course and thought "I'd love to do that" then you may be in luck.

Coming this summer to Rutland Water in Oakham, Leicestershire, is the UK's largest inflatable aquaglide water park. There are 16 different obstacles to try out ranging from trampolines and climbing walls to "the cyclone" a spinning hamster ball on water! The park is open rain or shine from the 9th of July to the 4th of September for a unique fun and challenging outdoor experience.

I'm sure you have plenty of questions, as I did having never attempted anything like this before, so let me give you the low down:
  • participants must be at least six years old, and at least 1.1m tall
  • participants are required to wear a buoyancy vest in which they must be able to swim 50m
  • tickets costs £15 for a 55min session, early booking is recommended due to high demand
  • wet suits cost £5 to rent, you can pre book your rental, or you are welcome to bring your own wetsuit. I would imagine it necessary to wear a wetsuit, this is England after all!
  • you should arrive prepared an hour before your pre booked time slot, bringing with you things like a towel, a warm change of clothes and maybe even a flask of your favourite hot drink.
Theres tonnes of additional information here and plenty of photos on the Facebook page if you still have some lingering questions, otherwise you can book your tickets here.

If you do manage to take on the aqua park obstacle course then please let me know, I'd love to see some photos if you have any.

Until next time - Molly xxx

Peek Inside a Ban.do Agenda

2 comments / lifestyle
It's time to take a sneak peak inside this year's Ban.do agendas, one of the most coveted pieces of stationary for members of the girl gang. Ban.do has pretty big claims surrounding this agenda, claiming it will "change your whole entire life", and as a cult item within the blogging world, it may seem that that is just the case. Last year's agendas sold out almost instantly, and with a record number of styles available I suspect this year's collection will be no exception.

Without further ado, let's take a look inside the handbag staple of every 'girl boss', blogger and stationary addict.

I have the classic agenda in the style 'Lady of Leisure' which is the smallest size and priced at £24.50. This style shows beautiful white peonies set against a pale pink background, accented with metallic green foil on the leaves. I have a feeling this will be the best selling style so if you want to get your hands on one you better do so quickly.

If like me, you are on a constant quest to become more organised, then this is the diary for you. It promises to "put the fun in function", revolutionise your life, and help you achieve your dreams. I can say that the inspirational nature of the agenda, paired with its organising capabilities certainly prove it to be a wise investment, and one that really allows you to keep on top of a busy life in an inspiring and unique fashion.

The agenda features:

  • yearly, monthly and weekly views - running 17 months from August 2016 to December 2017
  • colour coded month tabs
  • a ribbon page marker
  • unique stickers (double the amount in last year's agendas)
  • ample space for notes and to-do lists
  • beautiful monthly artwork (which you could totally remove and frame afterwards, especially if you're working on a gallery wall)
  • an expandable storage pocket for odd bits and pieces
  • an elasticated closure to keep everything together and prevent pages crumpling if you pop it in your bag
  • secret codes for you to decipher, empowering complements, and countless other features for you to discover.

Also pictured, Sticky Note Set and iPhone Hard Cover.

I hope I haven't given away too many surprises from the 2016-2017 collection, as I wanted to show as many features as possible, whilst still allowing perspective owners to follow along through the year and be surprised by the quirky pages.

Overall, I feel that Ban.do have stepped up their game even further from last years collection, with this year's agendas available in more styles and sizes than ever before, and jam packed with even more unique pages, things to do and well thought out features. If you want to get your hands on one you can do so here, I would suggest doing so sooner rather than later before they fly off the shelves for another year.

Until next time - Molly xxx
