I like many have paid the price for my love of matte lipstick; during the depths of winter my lips felt so chapped I didn't think anything could save them. Enter: Nuxe Reve De Miel.
This little pot of joy has time and time again rescued my lips from their dire state, and as such, I now don't think I could live without it. Yep, that's right, I officially dub this a 'holy grail' product. Now, let me explain why.
The unusual yellow balm boasts the most moisturising formula of any lip product I've tried, a thin layer will keep the lips hydrated for hours, while the tiny beads gently exfoliate the skin. I would suggest applying a generous layer to work its magic overnight, whereas if you're wanting to apply lip product directly on top of the balm it would be advisable to allow ten minutes or so for the product so sink in properly.
Although the formula is thick it never feels greasy on the lips it dries down to a semi-matte finish rather than a shiny mess, making it perfect for everyday use and even suitable for popping into your bag on the go. The citrus scent of the product is subtle enough to be noticeable yet not overpowering and I would imagine it to be suitable for those with sensitive skin. In keeping with Nuxe's branding the packaging is substantial and really makes it feel like you are getting a high end product, (the frosted glass photographs beautifully don't you think?) After this glowing review you might be able to tell I have been studying the poetic ode this term, however I genuinely don't think I can fault this product at all, but if you're still not convinced I can understand why.
When I first read the reviews of Reve De Miel, I admit I myself was dubious and as a student, I was somewhat reluctant to part with my hard earned £9.50 for 'just a lip balm'. Fast forward nearly two years and my original pot is still going strong, that's what you call serious value for money. It will be a sad day when I finally have to bid goodbye to the product that has seen me through countless chapped lip disasters; however, when the time comes I know I will be heading straight down to my local M&S to repurchase my skincare staple.
Nuxe Reve De Miel is available at M&S and here for 9.50.

Please leave me a comment below if you've found a product you think could give Nuxe a run for it's money, I would love to chat about it.
